Hobart. May 27. An exploring party which visited the limestone oaves at Ida Bay report the. existence of a cliff a hundred feet high, composed of, beautiful black and dove- 1 colored marble. Exciting reports are arriving from •he north-west. field*. Residents of Emu Bay are giving £7B apiece for shares in the prospecting company at North Valley, where lumps of silver; ore weighing 3cw f , each have been found, Btbnbt, May 28. There has been an output ; of exceedingly rich ore at the Broken Hill Consols mine exceeding anything tver known in the pa«c. Between list Saturday afternoon and Monday morning one ton of solid native silver wag unearthed. This is believed to be the richest field ever known.
