Details of tbe sinking or the r»bel warship Blancs Encalda off Antofagasta show that she was attacked by a torpedo fl«et whilst lying at anchor, and the vessel was destroyed by the Alm. ronte launch, a torpedo catcher recently bail' iu England, which fired two Whitehead torpedoes. The number of persons on the Blanca Encalda was five hundred, half of whom were drowned, Ibe iron* clad Huascar was also struck by a torpedo. The warship Florence has gone over to the rebels. President Balmaoeda,fearing an attempt to poison him, has all bis meals prepared by his, mother.
