AUCTIONEERS REPORT.
TIMARU. Messrs Qracie, Maclean and Co. report for the past fortnight as follows : Horses—At the Timaru Horae Bazaar, on the 18th inst, and to-day, we had average entries, and on each occasion over two-thirds of the number entered changed hands at good values. We quote medium to good draughs at from £l2 to £22 10s, inferior £8 to £lO. . Hacks—medium £8 to £lB 10s, light and weedy £3 to £6. Sheep The demand for stores continues brisk, and at the various sales prices have beeu well maintained. The supply of fat sheep has been very large this season, and the local refrigerating works have been strained to the utmost killing limit for some weeks past. At Wiuchester, on the 14st inst., a rather small entry resulted in a goed clearance. We sold 579 merino ewes at 3s, 89 fat ewes at lis, 104 do do at lis, 21 do do at 11a 9d, 20 merino ewes at 3s 9d, 10 rams at 20s to 2£ guineas.
