PRIMITIVE METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL, GERALDINE.
The anniversary services in connection with this Church were held on Sunday. The church had been decorated for the occasion by a number of willing hands. The hymns used for both the services were a number of special ones which the children had been taught by Mr C. E. Sherratt, who acted as choirmaster. Miss Andrews presided at the harmonium. There were large congregations, both morning and evening. At the morning service the rev. gentleman took for his text the words '* Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones," Matthew xviii., 10. He announced that the subject of his evening address would be " The Unredeemable Past." In the evening he preached from the words " And He cometh a third time, and saith unto them, Bleep on now and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners, Rise up, let us go; 10, he that betrayeth Me is at band," Mark xiv., 41 and 42. The sermons were especially suitable to an anniversary gathering, that in the morning pointing out more particularly the duty of parents and teachers to encourage and help rather than to despise thh children. In the evening the utter impossibility of recalling lost opportunities and misspeut time was forcibly pointed out, and an earnest appeal made to those present to commence from that time and make the very beat use ot the life, with its opportunities and privileges which God bad given them.
