TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —In your report of the court case in which William Simmons was charged by John Crimin with larceny, it is reported that John Crimin swore that “ the cook picked up everything, and he held the bag while the cook put the things in.” There is not a word of truth in this. I was acting as cook at the camp, and I certainly did not pick up anything or assist him in any way, as several men present can prove.—l am, etc., J. P. Seeder.
