Keefton, February 14. An old man named George Flowers yesterday drank Bulphuric acid by; mistake for ginger ale. The stuff was being removed from Kirwan's cordial factory, and Flowers had been, in the habit of helping himself to cordials, He died to-day. Westport, February 14. Carruthers, the bailiff of the Resident Magistrate's Court, died suddenly this afternoon of heart direase. Hokitika, February 13. An old miner, seventy-four years old named Fillipi Pantono, was injured by a fall of earth while he was working iu his claim in the Waimea district. The dirt struck him on the back of the head. She had been seen alive last night. .Nothing has transpired to show how she got into the river. Dunedin, Eebruary 15. The body of a mau named Donald Cameron was found in the harbor on Saturday, afternoon. Deceased, who was in delicate health, left his home in the North East "Valley in the morning for a walk, and was not again seen alive.
