AN EXTRAORDINARY AFFAIR.

The body o£ a post office lettercarrier, named Cameron, was found in Post Office place, in Melbourne, and from the surrounding circumstrnces it was presumed be bad been done to death by larrikins. Cameron had a fight with a number of roughs about midnight, and when a cry of police was raised he fell down, and was picked up dead. As he had been followed by the roughs who, it was alleged, had kicked and maltreated him, three individuals were arrested and charged with murder. There were no marks of external violence, and a post mortem revealed the fact that death was due to a large piece of German sausage sticking in his throat. He had vomited while running, and the meat stuck and caused suffocation'
