CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
A meetiog of the council of (heTemoka Caledoniaa Society was held in the Temuka Hotel last evening. Present Messrs Clark (president), Scannell, Angland, McCaskiil, McLeod, Velvin, Liwsob, Maze, Allan, Newbury, Naughtun, Henry, Quion, BJyth, and Mogridge (secretary). The secretary reported that the financial results so far were : receipts £344 13* 4i, add the disbursements £269 16s sd, leaving a balance of nearly £75. With regard to the concert tha receipts were £65 6s 6d and expenses £4O 11b 9J, le*ving a balance of £24 15s 9d, For the dance £l9 14a 6d were received and the expenses were £lO 5a 6J, leaving a balance of £9 9s. These results were considered extremely satisfactory, and the bos. secretary was highly commended for the able manner in which he had carried out his duties, and, as a mark of their appreciation of his services, the council voted a sum of £ls 15a as an honorarium to him. Votes of thanks to the judges and papers were passed, and also a vote of tbank& to the press for the excellent reports given of the sports. The meeting then terminated.
