The Cou icii. which ordered the New Zealand -hipping Company, •oh aw, Navill and Albion Company,and Briiah India Company to be boyc >tted for shipping sailors aboard instead of at their offices, has abandoned the struggle, but the sailors continue the dispute. Mr Tom Mann, President of the Dockers' Union, Btates that there are 1000 men out of work at the Docks in Loudon, and that their families are in a starving condition. The Glasgow and Dundee railway men hive decided on an immediate strike for a reduction of the hours of labor. The agitation is expected to become general throughout Scotland, and it is feared will paralyze trade. . Sydney, Dee. 23. Three thousand of the employed of the North Britjsh Kailway Company are out on strike, demanding a reduction in hours. The traffic is almost paralysed. here are 90,000 unemployed iu the East End of L mdon An attempt which was made recently to form a grand council of miners in Australia has resulted in failure.
