MASONIC.

TEMUKA LODGE. The installation of officers of the Masonic Lodge, St. George, Temnka, took place on Thursday evening, and the ceremony was of a most impressive character The installing officer was the Worshipful Grand Master of New Zealand, Bro Henry Thompson, who was assisted by the General Secretary, the Eev Rawlinson The officers installed were, Bro H Lee, W.M., Bro E Archer, F.W., Bro Joseph Woodhead, J.W., Bro G H Mogridge, Sec., Bro Geo Mason, Treasurer, Bro D McCallum, 1.G., Bro J W Yelvin, Tyler, Bro C Story and E Smith, Deacons. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the Crown Hotel, where Mr H Lee had prepared a banquet of unsurpassed excellence, A very intellectual and enjoyable evening was spent, the speeches made being of a more than ordinary interesting character There was a large attendance, a number of visiting brethren being present from Geraldine, Timaru, Christchurch, and Ashburton,

GBRALDIEE LODGE. The Grand Master of New Zealand, accompanied by six of his officers, attended at Geraldine on Wednesday evening for the purpose of erecting the Geraldine Lodge. This ceremony completed the Grand Master then installed into their respective chairs, Bro John M Murray, R.W.M., Bro Geo H Patrick, D.M., Bro N Dunlop, S.M., Bro A White, S.W., Bro J W Pye, J. W., Bro J Mundell, Treasurer, Bro J Cunningham, Secretary, Bro J Williams, S.D., Bro W S Helena, J.D., Bro B T G Cochrane, 1.G., Bro E Scott, Tyler. It is needless to say that the ceremony was performed in a very impressive manner, and was much appreciated by the brethren and visitors, the latter representing Christchurch, Bakaia, Temuka, Timaru, and Dunedin. 'lhe evening wound up with a banquet to the visitors. The usual toasts having bean duly honored the Grand Master gave an interesting account of his late trip to the North Island, which seems to have beeu a very enjoyable one, and officially successful. A word of praise is due to the caterer, Post, of the Geraldine Hotel, for the excellent table provided. (
