A serious fire began to-night at Messrs utibbs, Bright and Co.’s wharf. Darting Harbour. Their kerosene bond, containing 30,000 cases, equal to 250,C00 gallons of oil, caught fire, and was soon completely demolished. The burning oil spread all over the wharf, most of which was horned. Some large piles of timber are on fire, bat there is no danger of the fire spreading to the adjoining property. The fire is still burning, but it is under central. the damage is esiimated at £50,000, The amount of the insurance is at present unknown. When the fire was at its height it presented a grand spectacle, huge bodies of flame and dense clouds of smoke rising high in the air. Melbourne, Dec. 1. Mr 6. D.
