Auckland, Nov. 13. At Aukuati, three children bathing in the surf were carried out by the drawback, and only rescued in an insensible condition. News has been received here of the death of a Maori from poisjoniDg. His wife administered a dose" of Maori medicine made from tutu, and be died a few hours afterwards. Wellington, Nov. 12.
A man named Anthony Kaiser was found dead under a fallen tree to-day on his section at Tukoekara, Dear Pahialua. He is supposed to have been dead a fortnieht. He wbb bushfailing by himself. i Nov. 13.
A seaman named Alfred Wagner was engaged in painting the funnel of the Duke of Buckingham when the rope broke, aod he fel! to the deck, breaking his thigh and fracturing his skull. He was taken to the hospital but died shortly afterwards.
George Kigartaford, agfd sixteen, sod of a local batcher, was thrown from his horse on Ngataur*nga road last night. Hi* head, arms, and legs were badly battered about, and it is feared that he is suffering from concussion of the brain. He has not yet recovered consciousness. Christohubch, , Nov. 13.
A woman named Ellen Hay, aged 50, was found unconscious in the acclimatisation gardens yesterday with a bottle and cup Bbowing traceß of carbolic acid by her side. She was taken to the hospital aud died to-day. She had been in bad health and low-spirited for some time. A young woman Darned Charlotte Leech wbb discovered floating down the Avon to-day. She was missed from her employment three weeks ago. The body was much decomposed. Dunedin, Nov. 12.
A Mrs Bell residing at Pine Hill was bo seriously injured to-night by her clothes catching fire that her life is despaired of. She dropped to s'eep at the fireside, and a log fell out and Bet her clothes on fire.
