ACCIDENTS, FATALITIES, ETC.
Dunedin, Not. 8. The body of James Wilson was found in the harbor yesterday afternoon. He bad been lately employed at Sparrow’s foundry, and waq supposed to have gone to Sydney three weeks ago. He was aged thirty-live, and he leaves a wife and family in Wellington. He is supposed to have fallen overboard, while walking along-, side the wharf, and his body, ii r believed, has been entangled in the woodwork since he was missed. The body of a man named McKnight was received at Cromwell; from Bendigo. It is supposed McKnight fell off the horse he was riding in a fit and died. Westpobt, Not. #. William Jones was found in a small creek at Cape Foulwind this morning. The body was found lying face down. Jones is supposed to have been overtaken witha fit. He leaves a wife and grown up 5 family. Adonland, Nov. 3. Te Mahuke and the twenty other natives arrested with him, hare been committed ior trial. One of the party was discharged. ' Mastbeton, Nov 8. A man named Gundeson was killed this morning., whilst bush-felling at Wangaehu. Cheistchuech, Nov. 4. A lad named Nos worthy was severely crushed between twb railway trucks at Lyttelton to-day, apd seems in a critical condition. Wellington, Nov. 4. Two burglars,named Patrick McGuire and Henry Jones, were caught in Ralph’s drapery establishment early this morning. Skeleton keys' wore found on each of them.
