When the case of the young woman Smith alias fiawner, who is charged with concealment of birth, came before the Polica Court at Auckland on Friday, Mr H. Sbortland, who apeared Hor accused, asserted that several persons q«Uing themselves members of the Social Purity Society, had annoyed the defendant, visiting her at the hospital, with the yiew of obtain- | ing information regarding the defence.
