IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Geraldine County Council desires to raise the sum of £3OOO by way of LOAN, under the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886, for the purpose of Constructing Irrigation Works within that part of the Geraldine County known as the Waitohi Flat Water Supply District, and that it is proposed that the first year's interest on the said loan during the contraction of the said work shall be paid out e£ the moneys to be so borrowed ; and that the sum of £IBO is proposed to be set apart in each year towards the paying off of the Loan, and it is proposed that a SPECIAL RATE of One Halfpenny in the Pound on the rateable value of the property within the said Wnitohi Flat Water Supply District shall be pledged as security for such Loan, Dated at Timaru, this Ist day of September, 1890.
