Mr O'Brien,: apeakiag at Corky said that the question for tbe tenants 1 to decide was whether tbey would give rents to the landlords or use the money to boy food for their children, .
Sept. 19.
Messrs Gillmane and Dalton, prominent Tipperary agitators, have been arrested for inciting tenants not to pay their rents.
Messrs J. Dillon and W. O'Brien were arrested for inciting tenants mot to pay rent owing to the blight which has attacked the potato crop, Warrants hav« a -an been issued for the arrest of Mr Patrick J. O'tJrien, M.P. for Tipperary JNoitb, Mr Divid Sheehy, M.P. for Galway Sooth, and Mr Thomas J. Condon, M P. for Tipperary East, on the earae charges,
Measrs O'Brien and DMon were conirejed in a special train from Cork under ja heavy escort, bat at 'Jipperarj they jsecqred bail. .They assert tout the object of the authorities in arresting them w«s jfco prevent their taking* part in the proposed Home Rale mission to America. [Mr Pamell, the leader of the Irish party, lis conferring,with the otherrm'mbers of 'the party, to whom the arrest came br a surprise, and consequently caused, great iexct'temeuf. It is stated that fourteen jothers are to ta arrested.
