GERALDINE SCHOOL COMMITTEE

A meeting of this committee was held on Friday evening last. Present—Messrs A. White. J. Williams, J. Eiordan, C. E. Sherratt, J. W. Pye, and W. S. Maslin. In the absence of the chairman Mr W. S. Maslin was voted to the chair. JANITO*.

Only one tender was received for the position of janitor, and one for the removal of nightsoil,—-The amounts being higher than the committee have the funds to pay neither tender was accepted, the matter being left in the hands of the finance committee to make the best arrangements they could.

SCHOOL pence. Messrs Sherratt, Pye, and Maslin were appointed a committee to obtain tenders aad accept one for this work. The chairman to write to the Board of Education re the vote passed by the board for fencing the school grounds.

MISCELLANEOUS. Complaints having been made by parents of children having been turned out of the school on wet days during the dinner hour, the master to be written to directing him to allow the children to have their dinner in the lavatory on wet days. It was resolved to ask the Town Board to erect a footbridge over the creek near the cemetery road.

YISITOES. The visitors, Messrs Pye and Maslin, reported everything to be going on satisfactorily. Meßsrs Sherratt and Riordan were appointed visitors for the Month.

ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to 10s were passed for payment, and the meeting terminated.
