TO THB EDITOE. Sie,— l believe efforts are being made to get up a club again in Temuka to play the good old game of cricket. As an exercise it is a game that stands without an equal, both for the young and middle-aged, and there is no other game where all classes join together for amusement and rational exercise without regard to their social standing. In Christchurch a team is often put inte the field composed of M.H.E.s, lawyers, merchants, tradesmen, mechanics, and factory hands, and it matters not whether a player is a capitalist or unionist he does his level best for his club. Ncfw that we have the half-holiday movement established in town I hope to see all classes join in to make a strong club, that will be able to put an eleven in the field good enough to uphold the honor of Temuka against all comers.
