LABOR DISPUTES.

The Dockers’ Union now numbers 50,000 men, with an income of £SOO a week.
The dismissed postmen request the union to dissolve, having shown itself powerless to assist them. Melbourne, July 31. The Shearers and Hqaatlers Unions are preparing for a desperate fight.
In Auckland storemen are insisting on 42s for 48 hours per week ; hotel and restaurant cooks on Is to Is 6d per hour after 12 hours. In Wellington the civil servants, under the presidency of Mr Cooper, under-secretary, have formed a union. In Greyqjopth railway men are discharged, and trouble is anticipated. In Lyttelton the ship Kate Tatbam is to be loaded by the crew, and a strike is consequently imminent. The complete boycott has' been brought ipto operation against Messrs Whitcptpbe pad Tombs, Christchurch. Railway servants, wharf laborers, carters, and chip’s crews are called on not to handle, load, or "ti’oad their goods, Xho lington have j een bought by aMr Hall, ana will be run under anion rules,
