AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT.
TIMAETT.
Messrs William Collins, and Co. report a good attendance of buyers at their regular weekly grain and general auction on Saturday. Fowl was in good demand up to 2s 5d per bushel, broken and dock-seedy 4s, 6s, to 7s 6drper sack ;i feed bushel. Inquiries were made for prime feed oats, ryegrass and cocksfoot. Derwent potatoes 50s tos2a6d, f.0.b., kidneys no demand at present; onions, 9s to 13s 6d per cwt.; dea)d pigs (heavy weights) 2d to 2|-d per lb, 1301 b to 1501 b 3|d ; butter, 8d to 9d per lb; fowls, Is 6d to 3s 3d per pair; ducks, 3s to 8s 6d per brace; hares, 12s per dozen; clover hay, 50s per ton (delivered by the grower) ; live pigs .(suckers), 4s to 4s 6d each; prime eating potatoes 4s 3d to 4s 6d per sack, pig do 2s lOd per sack.
DUNEDIN MARKETS,
Sheepskins—Butchers’ green 1 crossbreds (best) brought, 4s 8d to 4a; good to medium and inferior, 3s lOd to 3s 2d; green merinos, 3s to 2s 6d; country dry crossbreds, inferior to medium, Is 3d to 3s 9d ; do dj merino, Is 2d to 2a 9d ; full-woolied crossbreds, 4s to 5s 8d; do do merino, 3s to 4s lOd ; dry pelts, 2£d to Is Id. Hides—Quotations for heavy, goodconditioned properly flayed hides, to 3d; medium weights, 2d to 2-J-df; light, l£d to l|d ; inferior, Id to lid per lb. Tallow —Quotations for prime rendered mutton, 18s to 19s ; medium to good, 15s 6d to 17s ; inferior and mixed, 12s to 14s 6d ; rough fat is in good request; best caul, fresh and clean, fetches 12s 6d to 18s 6d; inferior to medium and good, 8s 6d to 12s per cwt.
ENGLISH MARKETS.

At the auctions to-day 1000 bales of New Zealand hemp were sold. Common sorts were easier, and good sorts firmer, Seven Australian wheat cargoes on passage sold at 37s 2d to 37s 6d, two New Zealand cargoes at 365, and another at 35s 3d. Q-ood New Zealand cheese is 48s to 50s, and medium, 36s to 445.
