TEMUKA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
1 Tee monthly meeting of the above committee took place on Tuesday evening. Present Messrs Storey (chairman), Wills, Brown jVelvio, Mogridge and McCaskill. HEAD MISTER’S EETOIT. . The headmaster’s report was. read dealt with as follows :

“57. Briars.” In reference to the meagre attendance the chairman said that there bad been a misapprehension as to the date of reopening. ; Some of the thought that the school opened en Tuesday.. , The chairman was authorised to take action in the matter of the breaking of windows, the offender having been found out.
On the motion of Mr Mogridge, seconded by Mr McCaskill, it wai resolved to obtain the models applied for.,
THE LATE CONCERT. The balance-sheet of the last concert was considered, and after paying all expenses it was found that a credit balance of 4518 remained. This was considered very satisfactory. Mr Rutland moved, Mr Wills seconded, and it was carried;—“ That a cordial veto of thanks be passed to the headmaster, the staff, and all the ladjps aq4 geqtjeiqqq wbq had bo gracefqlly assisted in making the entertainment q sqccess.’ 1
TXaiTOE’a EEPOET. Mp McOaskill reported that the t pecossary repairs to the lavatories had** been completed during the vacation. He sqggested that the clock should he repaired. '
Mr Wills was appointed visitor fo the qnsqing iqoqth.' JEEEqULAE ATTENDANCE. The secretary was instructed ta furnish the police with the names of thosq children who were attending
irregularly, with the view of enforcing the compulsory clauses of the Act. AGCOTOTS. A ccounts amounting to £8 4s were passed for payment, and the meeting terminated.
