ODDFELLOWSHIP.
The-installation of the officers for the ensuing term, of the Victoria Lodge of. Oddfellows, Geraldine, took place in the lodge room on Thursday evening last. There was a large attendance of members. Bro. T. Bowkett, N.G., opened the lodge. Bro. G. H. Patrick, D D.G.M., was the installing officer. On his entering the hall-- he was accompanied by P.G. Bro. Kalaugbter. acting Grand ' Marshall Bro. C. Pye, acting V.G. Bro. Giimour, acting G.S. Bro. Bean. ??heße were received with Grand Lodge honors, and the installation was then proceeded with as follows: N.G., Bro. T. Bowkett (re-elected) ; V.G , Bro. H. Nicholls ; secretary, Biro. Av Fisher (re-elected) ; assistant secretary, Bro. «T. H. Dean, jun.; treasurer, Bro. J, W. Pye. The N.G. appointed t)i,e following subordinate officers Warden, Bro. J. Pizzey ; conductor,, Bro. W. M. Patrick, E.S. to N.G., Bt°- J. Pye. L.S. to N.G., Bro. E. Fronting, The V.G. then appointed Bro. J. Williams and J. P. Kalaugber as his E. and L.S. reBnectively. The N.G- afterwards c hose Bro. J. Fifield as E.S.S., and Bro. J. Boughton as L.S.S., and Bro. J. Mellroy as LG. At the conclusion - of the ceremony votes of thanks were ' passed to the D D,G M. and his assistants for. the able, manner in which they bad conducted the same. Special votes of thanks were passed to Bros. GUmour, C. Pye, and Bean, the N.G., secretary, and , member of the Glad- ' stone Lodge, Pairlie Creek, for their visiting' the lodge, especially on account ot the state of the weather and bad.cppdsop of the pyep which thev bad to travel. The votes of thanks baying been responded to the lodge was closed by the N.G, The hall was then cleared for the usual installation social. There was a crowded attendance. Music was supplied by Mr Goodwill, Temuka, Mr WM. Patrick acting M.p. with hik’ weMpown ability, evening sopgs were repdered by Messrs GUmour, Eye, Nichols. Eyan, and W. Evans. Messrs Eyan Bros. Save a step dance whiph WW m™h fpnia pde4. eauor's hornpipe, and Mr M. Ryar a nigger song and dance. Miss Giimour contributed a piano solo, and also accompanied the singers with much ability and taste. Tne company separated at an early hour on Friday morning, after having spent a very enjoyable ©vening» ..'•■j
