UEIIALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. 4 T a Special Meeting of the above \ Council, held on the 11th day of Juue, 1890. a Resolution was adopted to the following effect:— (1). That the powers of the Council for collection and recovery in the County of the Timaru Harbor Rate, of id in the Pound (£), be delegated to the varioUß Local Bodies in the County, for exercise in their respectiye districts. (2). That the said Local Bodies be paid a Commission of £2 10a per centum upon the net amount of such rate collected, as remuneration for collseting the same. (3). That the said Local Bodies do make Monthly Returns to the Council of the amount of such rate money collected during the preceding month. The above resolution will be confirmed at a meeting of the Conooil to be held on Wednesday, 9th day of July next, and the B»id Special Order will oome into force on that day. A copy of the said Special Order is, will romain, Open for Inspection by the .Public at the Council's office, Timaru, during office hours, until the date of the said meeting. rrOTICE IS HEREBY QIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Council of the County of Gbraldine, held on the 11th day of June, 1890, a Resolution to Make a SPECIAL ORDER was adopted, and the objects of such Special Order are : (1). To fix the Annual Bate, or Charge, under Clause 4 of the Waterworks By-law of the County and " The Counties Act, 1886," to be paid by Occupiers of hnd within '' The Orari-Waihi Water-Supply District", for use of the water-races and water supplied I hereby, at (2id) TWO PENCE HALFPENNY PER ANNUM for each Acre of Land or portion thereof held by such occupiers in suoh district. (2). To appoint the Annual Dates of Payment of such rate or charge, for the year ending 3lßt December, 1890, to be made on the Ist of August, 1890, and in subsequent years on the Ist of May in every year. (3). To make such rate or charge payable at the Council's Office, Timaru. (4). To regulate the expenditure of Buch rate or charge. And it is further notified that the said Special Order will come into force on the 20th day of July, 1890, and that a meeting of the said Council will be held at Timaru on the 9th day of July next, at 11 o'clock a.m., for the purpose of confirming such resolution. A copy of the said Special Order will remain deposited for Inspection, at the Council's Office, Timaru, during office hours, until the date of the said meeting. Dated this 12th day of June, 1890. E. Xi at a Special Meeting of the Council of the County of Qeraldine, held on the 11th day of June, 1890, a resolution to make a Special Order was adopted, and the objeots of such Special Order are : (1). To fix the Annual Rate, or Charge under Clause 4 of the Waterworks By-law of> the County, and " The Counties Act, 1886," to be paid by occupiers of land within " The Geraldine Water-Supply district," for use of the water-races tnd water supplied thereby, at (3d) THREE PENCE PER ANNUM for eaeh Acre of Land, or portion thereof, held by such occupies in such dietnot.

(2). To appoint the annual datea of payment of such rate or charge for the year ending 31st "December, 1890, to be made on the Ist of August, 1890, and in subsequent years on the Ist of May in very year. (3). To make such rate or charge payable at the Council's Office, Timaru. (4.) To regulate the expenditure of such rate or charge. And it is further notified that the said Special 0-ider will come into force on the 20th day of July, 1890, and that a meeting of the said Council will be held at Timaru on the 9th day of July next, at 11 o'clock a.m., for the purpose of confirming such resolution.
