The Wellington Agricultural atid Pastoral -Association gave £SOO in prizes this ye&r exclusive of special prizes. Great indignation is felt on the West Coast at auriferouH land being allowed to pass into the hands of the Midland Kailway Company. At Eeefton an indignation meeting has been held, and resolutions passed on the subject, copieß of which are to be sent to the Government.
