From the kick-out Woodbury pkyed with much more I spirit and Geraldine had some work m.defending their goal. Fred. Taylor captain of the Woodbury team did some good running, and would have scored several pjmea if he had heeq backed up by his Bide. <&%s£, however was relieved by a splendid run by S Willoughby, who was near t t g °»l lme wheQ he was grassed by John Maedonald. Soon Geraldine Planned a free Wok, from which Hawke kicked a splendid goal, after which time was called. In the second spell the play was more even, Taylor relieving his side many times by some S°° d Panting. Geraldine, however, rushed the ball up into the Woodbury tweuty-aves, when Q. Moore obtained tJ}f leather and carried it over. A,
, Hawke again took the kick, which resulted in another goal. The Woodbury boys played very well, Taylor trying desperately hard to score, but failed, and when time was called the game remained: Geraldine school, 8 points (2 goals and 2tries) ; Woodbary, nil. Among the winners S. Willeughby, W. Morrison, A. Hawke, C. Moor©, Joe (2),, and L, Tayler played very well, and for Woodbury P. Taylor (captain), John Macdonald, Beid (2) and Metcalf were conspicuous. J. Colbert and B. Stonehouse umpired for Geraldine and Woodbury respectively, / TEMDKA T. TIMARU. Brosnahan; emergencies, Gillespie, Kroon, Ryan and Ash well. The game will start at 3 p.m. sharp in the Temuka park. Any of the above who cannot play are requested to let the secretary know as soon as possible.
