Mesßrs Grracie, Maclean and Co. report for the past fortnight, as follows: Horses —At the Timaru Horse Bnzaar, on the 24th inst,, we entered 35 bead of all cUb-os, hot business wmo rather dull. To-day our entry of 30 comprised,; amongst otherp, a special line of 8 draught ranrps and griding*, the property of Mr A ex. Copelarid; These commanded a considerable amount of competition, and wire all sold .at 85'i6faciory orices. 4 geldings, t:h* property of Mr John Morehead, wire also disposed of at full rates. Therp is no di-mand for hocks. We quo'e medium to good draughts at from £l2 to £25, ; inferior £8 to £lO.
Shesp—At Washdyke yards, on lh'» 22nd, there was a lull entry of b.ith fat and stores, and an txceptiooally brisk demand, which had the effect of improving the value of young sheep by ;ls : per head. The entry this week was on'y, a small one/bot a fair amount of business was done. We sold 198 2-tooth ewes and, wethers, at < 12s 91, 111 do do!*t 13s lid, 231.d0 do at 12s 9', 118 ;2tooth Downs at 13s sd, 150 4-to 0 h ewes and wethers at ,14s 6d. 22 lambs* nt 9s 9d, 220 2-tooihs at,l3« 81, 300 crossbred hoggets at 9s 9d, IC6 do doj at 9s;4d, 269 do. do at 10* 9d,200 2 tootl.a at 13s 6d, 80 merino ewes at 3s 6d, 126 fat ewes at 12s Bd, 62 do do at 10s 6d, and privately 702 hoggets and 303 ewes.
Cattle~ there is but little doing; in cattle of any kind ;in fact, there.are jno fat cattle offering at the yards,... andstores are only saleable at ruinously low prices. Cows in full profit are in fair demand. We sold 2 heifers at £3 2s 6d, 5. cows ;at £2 to £3 2s 6d, and privately we h»ve placed 33 prime Ifal bullocks.
Skins—At our sale'on the 21st, our catalogue of 600 skins sold at b-tter prices comparatiyely than any we have obtained for Borne lime. Btst crossbreds sold at 3s, 3s 4d, 3s 9d, 4*, 4s 3d, anrt 4s 6d. We also sold privately 1100 factory skins,
