Mr Moss Jonas reports as follows : Newmarket yards.—The entry of steep at the sale on the 13th May was, fully up to the standard,,but in cattle the supply was rather, limited ; m fact,confined to a few old) cows for which there were ■no buyers. Owing to the demand for store sheep just now for eating off turnips, and to the good representation of butchers that usually attend this sale, ■, every pen of sheep was sold,as follows2l2 and 4-tootbs at 10s lid, 44 2-tooths at 10s 6d, 53, > do at 10s, 41 do at 10s 3d, 77 fatshee'p jat Us, 86 do do at 9s lid, 162 do iat 9s 9d, 31 do at 7a lid, and 62 do at, 8s 9d, 443 half-bred ewes at 6s, 27 lambs at 8e 6d, and 59 do at 5s Bd. Waafidyke Yarda—'i'here was a very good stock at these yards on May 15th, and .now. that the company have decided tn hold the sales fort-1 nightly instead of weekly, as hitherto, still larger entries may be looked forward to. Crossbreds,,2s 4d to 4s 7d; merino country skins, Is 7d to 2s 8d; pelts; 9d, lid and Is ; bag wool, 3d, 4d and 7d per lb ; 1 bale of locks and pieces at 4|d per lb; 2£ tons fat and 125 ; bides at last quotations; freezers from 4s 6d to 4s 9d. , Private sold 375 ewes at 10s ,6d; 8 head of fat cattle at £5 10s; and„26o crossbred lambs at 8s 9d.
