OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Meeting of the Mount Peel Road Board held on the sth of May, 1890, the following RESOLUTION WAS PASSED : ■"That this Board declares the existing Road running through part of Rural Sections 27450, 24776, and 24688, as described on Plan No. 257, and the Road through Seotiona 4556, 4276, and 3683, as described on Plao No. 259, BE STOPPED." "TVTOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Conncil of the County of Geraldine held on the 14th day of May, 1890, a resolution tc make a SPECIAL ORDER was adopted, and the objects of sueb Special Order are—1. To Levy a Special Annual Recurring Rate of One-Sixteenth (l-16th) of a Penny in the Pound on all Rateable Property within the Rnngitata and Orari Water-Supply District, to proyide Interest and SinkiDg Fund on a further Loan of £250 raised for constructing Water Races within such district. 2. To fix Annual Dates of Payment of Buch Rnts for the year ending 31st day of December, 1890, to bo made on the 20th day of June, 1890, nnd in subsequent years on the let day of May in every year for a period of TwentySix Years until the loan is paid off. And it 18 further notified that the said Special Order will come into force on the 14th day of June, 1890, and that a Meeting of the said Council will be held on the 11th d&y of June next, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of confirming such resolution. The Rate Book and a Copy of the said Special Order will remain deposited for inspection at the Council's Office, Timaru, during office hours, uotil the dote of th ■aid Meeting. GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL. TIMARU HARBOR BOARD RATE. Ci FECIAL ORDER to be made on tbo "} 11th day of Judo, 1890, by the Council of the Geraldiae County—- " That the Rate towards meeting interest on the Loans authorised by The Timaru Barbour Board Loan Act, 1881, and the Timaru Harbour Board Loan Act, 1885, made by this Council by Special Order on the 11th day of December, 1889, pursuant to the provisions of the said Acts, be increased from the Ist day of January, 1890, inclusive, under and in pursuance of the powers granted by the said Acts, and by Section 160 of The Gountiea A«t, 1885, from One Eighth of a Penny in the Pound Sterling to One Farthing in the Pound Sterling on the capital value of all Rateable Propperty in the County of Geraldine, and that the said Rate be amended and altered accordingly. The Resolution to make the above Special Order will be Confirmed at the Monthly Meetiug of the Geraldine County Council to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 11th day of June, 1890, and will come into force on the same day.
