Two five-roomed attached wooden cottages in St, Kilda, Dunedin, the property of Mr Stephens, builder, and occupied by Stephens and Hancock storekeepers, were burnt down In surances—£3oo on the building, and £2OO on the furniture in the Norwich Union. The loss is estimated at £7OO. At a meeting of the Dunedin Tram way Employes Union held at midnight on Saturday, it was agreed to mak* application for affiliation with th® Trades and Labour Council. It W a® also resolved that _ members should refrain from shopping after 6 p m and refrain from purchasing i n anv’ shop that kept open after that hour. J
