RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Geraldine—Friday, April 25. Before R. H. Pearpoint Esq., J.P. ROBBERY PROM THE PERSON. At the Geraldine Court yesterday before R. H. Pearpoint Esq, J.P. David Stewart who had been arrested the previous evening by Constable Willoughby, was charged with that he did, on 24th April, 1890, at Geraldine feloniously steal, take, and carry away from the person of John Woodhead, of Temuka, one sovereign, one cheque for £2, signed to McGuinness, and £lB single notes, of the moneys of the said John Woodhead. On the application of the police prisoner was remanded till Wednesday next. The court then adjourned.
