Henry Burton, a Wellington tobacconist, was last Tuesday committed for trial for perjury. A short time back Burton was fined for allowing gambling on his premises, and in bis evidence on that occasion he swore that the dice-box, seized by the police, yrss not bjs property nor had be seen $t before. The police produced the evidence of the saddler who made the box for Burton;
