TEMUKA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The regular monthly meeting of the committee of the above school was held on Tuesday. Present.—-Messrs Gray (chairman) Rutland, Brown, Allan, Cooper, and Storey. iH After routine, the Head Master’s report was read as follows:—I have the honor to submit the following report for the month ended 31st March;— Boyi*. Girls. Total. Average weekly roll 202 2 182 384.2 Aver»go attendance 148 141.7 289.8 Highest attendance 163 155 318 We resumed to day with a very poor attendance, 231 in the morning and 235 in the afternoon. Mr Charles J. Goldstone began his duties this morning iu the roomJofjMr James Gillespie. —I have, etc., “ W. Bbtabs”. TACANT TEACHESBHIPS The various applications received for the position caused by Miss Bown’s resignation were then considered, and Miss Elizabeth Bruce was selected for the vacancy, subject to the approval of the Board of Education, ACCOUNTS. One account for £2 10s was passed for payment, and it was agreed that any small accounts presented for payment and found correct should be paid prior to the meeting of householders. The meeting then terminated.
