Sydney, April 11. There was a large attendance at the sale of the Hon. J, White’s horses, and sensational prices were realised. Titan was the second animal put ud. Kelso opened at two thousand guineas, and hundred guinea bids carried the price quickly to three thousand, and then amid breathless excitement four thousand was reached. Lloyd and Brodribb were the principal bidders, and the gelding was eventually knocked down to the latter amid tremendous applause for 4600 guineas, the highest price ever given for a racehorse in Australia. Other prices and purchasers were .-—Sinecure, 700 guineas, Lloyd, New South Wales; Dreadnought, 2100, Lord Kesteven, England ; Singapore, 2000, M. Shannassy, Victoria; Eudolpb,B2o, Wilson, Victoria; Tribune, 100, Oakleigh, India; Marco, 625, Johnson, Victoria; Carlist, 550, H. Dangar, Sydney; Denman, 250, Woods, Sydney; Prelude, 275, Dowling, Sydney; Ultimata, 220, Saunders, Melbourne; Utter, 400, Oxenham, Sydney; Litigant, 1415, Lloyd, New South Wales. Dreadnought was afterwards resold to Jones, of Melbourne, at an advance of 500 guineas. Brodribb, the purchaser of Titan, comes from Broken Hill.
