DEVELOPMENTS OF THE FEDERAL CONFERENCE.
The recent political assemblage in Melbourne will mark n now era in the history of Australia. It is cheerful to contemplate that forces are now at work which insiil into ua the elevating and inspiring picture of a great united Australia ; and if a federal union for the promotion of interests common to us nil will become an accomplished fact, then the delegates of the various colonies, who so calmly and earnestly discussed the great subject, will be entitled to our sincere gratitude. One of the chief obstac'es to federation was always set down to the discord in the policy of the divers colonie,s. It resulted from the f fforts of politicians who confined their views within (ho borders of their respective territories, and who thus rendered approach to Australian unity more difficult. Now, however, that the efforts of the leading statesmen of this groat continent, upon which nature Iras lavished her choicest gifig, are actively engaged in the possible formation ot the long-coveted unity, we are impressed with more hopeful views as to the organisation of a federal union, which ia now a step nearer to its goal. There were severe pains in the back, and occasionally aggravated attacks of lumbago. Ultimately j umdice set in, causing more constitutional disturbance. At this time Warner’s safe Cure was vary favourably introduced to ray notice, whereupon I gave myself treatment with it, and after the use of six bottles of the safe cure, taken in conjunclion with the safe pills, all pains had subsided, and eveiy disoider of the liver and kidneys was subdued,” Cases like the above could ba quoted ad infinitum , where the affl cted recovered through the agency of this medicine when other means signally failed ; in many instances a federal conference of physicians having given up the patient ia despair. As an agent for federa'ing disorganized constitutions i( has do parallel,
