GERMANY AND AFRICA.
Zanzibar, April 2. Emin Pasha wilt return to the interior of Africa as second in command to Major Wissman. Emin Pasha is organising an immediate caravan for Lake Victoria Nyanza, with a view of anticipating English plans. Major Wissman is parleying for the. services of Tippoo Tib, and is endeavoring to close all trade routes against the British East African Company through Massaland. The Sultan of Zanzibar has made peace between the Germans and Bwahaniri, the A.rab leader. It is reported from Mombasa that Dr Peters’ expedition, which it was said bad been massacred at Vito in December last, is safe. April 3. Emin Pasba vehemently denies that he was concerned in the action brought by Stanley against Tippoo Tib, claiming damages for breach of contract. Emin’s contract in connection whh the new expedition is regarded as treacherous. It is credibly reported here that Dr Peters is at Kaduondo, near Lake Victoria Nyanza.
