Auckland, March 25. A man named John Hunt, seaman, employed on the cutter Coralie in the harbor, fell to-day from the crosstrees of the vessel on to the deck, and received internal injuries, from the effect ot which he has since died, Dunedin, March 24 From later investigation it appears that the body found at Waikouaiti was contained in a sack and weighted to keep it at the bottom of the ditch. The police theory is that the deceased was put into the sack after death and thrown iute the ditch. A medical examination shows that the bones belonged to a man of sft 9in in height, and an aged person. There is no clue to identity. Cheistchttech, March 24. The Maggie, whaleboat, belonging to Fitzsimmons Brothers, was tuken out early on Sunday morning by two young fellows named John Carter and William Thompson, who intended to go fUhing towards the heads aad return in the evening.
