The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports on the, grain and produce markets for the week ending Ist March, 1890 :
Wool—At the wool salea on Friday the following prices wera realised : Halfbred BJd to 10£d, quarterbred to lOf, crossbred 6fd to 9d, black B£d, crossbred lambs Bfd to 9|d, locks 3d to 4a, pieces 3d to 7fd, scoured merino Is 3|d to Is 6£d, do do pieces Is 3d, scoured halfbred Is 2£d to Is 3|d, locks llfd.
Hidas • Talues are unchanged. G-ood heavy, 601 b and over, 3|d ■ medium, 511 bto 591 b, and under, 2d. Calfskins, 3£d ; cut and damaged from Id per lb. Tallow and Fat—We repeat our quotations—Best clean fet, lsd to If d; inferior, fd to l£d per lb; tallow, 12s 6d to 17s per cwt. * Sheepskins—Only moderate catalogues submitted this week, and the attendance was more limited than usual. Best green crossbred pelts brought 2s 9d to 3s lOd and 4s, med urn 2a to 2s 6d, merino do Is 5d to 2s lOd, lambskins 2s to 4s, woolly meri no skins, 4s 8d to 6s, do crossbred 48 to 6s Bd.
