The amendment to the Address in Reply by • Mr Cunninghom Grahame, insisting that 'the 'ques tioh of shot teni n g the hours of labor should be discussed 1 at
the Berlin' was rejected’ by a majority of 111. Mr Bradlaugh opposed it. ■ Lord Churchill quoted the state of labor in AustValia,’ and advised' the lories : to show more bynapatby with workmen. 1
Replying To a question in the House to-day l Sit Jftmes' Pergassdn stated that England would agte?- to examine the questions submitted to the'Berlin Labor Conference affecting the welfare of the working class, so far ais , they were'in accordance with English law.
Berlin, Feb, 26. Probably in deference to England the question of limitation of hours of labor will be excluded from discussion at the Labor Conference, The dale of the Labor Conference has been fixed for March 15. The German Minister of Commerce will preside. M. Jules Simion will represent Prance.
