London, Feb. 16. Sir G. S. Badeu Powell’s motion ot sympathy with Australian Federation will probably be carried unanimously. It is expected to come on on Monday. , Feb, 17! In the House or Lords the Earl of Belmoro expressed great satisfaction at the progress made by the federation movement in Australia. Lord Knutsford remarked that the prosperity and importance of the Australian colonies would be materially increased by the formation of a Federal Government. He heartily wished that 0 successful settlement of the project Would be effected. Lord Granville said that he entirety concurred with Lord Knutsford’g remark?.
