DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.

At the wool sales on Thursday a cable reporting a decline of 5 to 7£ per cent, in merinos at the London sales had the result of affecting the market. There was a good demand for light crossbreds, fine and long stapled, and prices were satisfactory, Prime merinos were not offered in large lots. The supply, however, was equal to the demand, as buyers did not seem to be impressed with the desirability of purchasing in heavy lots. On the whole the sales were satisfactory, prices being, with the exception mentioned above, well maintained.
