TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Tetnuka Town Board was held last evening. Present Messrs K. F. Gray (chairman!, S Clinch, G. J. Mason, P. Coira, and J. Blyth.
CORRESPONDENCE. Correspondence was read, but was for the most part nf a formal character.
oveeseee’s eeport. The overseer reported that owing to the hesvy traction engine traffic there was considerable depression on the main street
opposite Mr Whitehead’s and Dr Hayes’s properties. The culverts in Railway were weak and required elrenglhcnDamage had been done to footpaths by traction engines crossing them. ACCOUNTS. Accounts to the amount of £2O 13s 4 1 were passed for payment. OUTSTANDING RATES. Ihe clerk brought-under the notice of the hoard the fact that a targe amount of the rales of the jears'lßßß and 1889 still remained unpaid. It was decided to sue at once, and the names of defaulters were pun into a hat and 12 names drawn therefrom. These will be sued at once. The meeting then terminated.
