News of a satisfactory assay of the ruinpuhi stone, which was sent to Sir James Hector at Wellington, has been received by Mr T. P. Mordy, at Kawakawa. Sir James Hector states that the No, 1 assay of reef stone has yielded 118 ounces 3 dwts 10 grs of silver, and a minute trace of gold
