Two Irish farmers have been sentenced to three months' imprisonment on a charge of having attempted to boycott the Irish cattle market. The convention of Irish landowners, under the presidency of the Duke of Abercorn, have resolved that a large increase in the number of landowners occupying their estates was of the highest importance to the interests of the country, Resolutions were also carried in favor of adopting a complete system of registration of titles and advances to land-owners to enable them to putchase tenants' interests and holdings.
Mr Parnell, speaking at Liverpool, justified Irish rebellion in the past. He said that the Protestants in Ireland had nothing to fear from the Catholics,
