Senor H. de Barras Gomes, Minister of Foreign Affairs in Portugal, has communicatpd with the Marquis of Salisbury denying the report from Zambesi that Major Pinto had not been attacked. Major Pinto asserts that after repulsing the natives he found three English flags among the baggage of the vanquished. A further report of the difference is shortly expected from Major Pinto, Senor Gomes considers that the rupture with the English is a great misfortune, and he desires to amicably arrange the matter, The Portuguese assert that the English supplied the arms to the Matabeles to enable them to revolt and uphold slavery,
