Best potatoes, £3. Onions, Victorian, £5 to £6. Butter, dairymade, 6d to 7d; factory-made, 8d to 9|d. Cheese, locally-made, 5d to 6|d; New Zealand, 6d. Bacon, locallycured, 7d to 8d; New Zealand, 9|d to lOd. Hams, New Zealand cured, Is. Melbourne, Dec. 25. The grain market is very quiet. Wheat, new crop, 3s sd; old, 3s Flour, dull; stone-made, £9 5s ; rollermade, £lO and upwards. Oats, Calcutta, 2s 2d; New Zealand, 3s 6£d. Maize, 3s 10d. Bran, Bd. Adelaide, Dec. 25. Wheat is quiet, and firm at 8s sd. Flour, stone-made, £B 15s; rollermade, £9 10s. Bran, Bd. Pollard, 7d. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dec. 23. New Zealand hemp, £27 6a to £27 10s. Arrivals of foreign wheat are small. The English wheat market is firmer; the Continental inclined to buoyancy, and the American steady. Dec. 26. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,140,000 quarters. The American visible supply is 34,000,000 bushels.
