London, Dec, 21. The boot and shoe masters Lave refused to concede to the demands of the employee, and a lock-out of 10,000 men at Bristol has resulted. Sydney, Dec. 20. The Engineers’ Association have decided to call out the engineers engaged on the steamers belonging to W. Howard, bmith and Sons, Limited, on Monday next, unless they agree to the demand of the engineers that the chtaf engineers shall be absolute in the engine-room, Dec. 21. A conference has been arranged between shipowners and tha Engineers’ Association, and the engineers decided to take no further action regarding the calling out of the men until the result of the deliberation is made known.
