A great feature of the entertainment was the piano and violin duet by Master James and Miss Lizzie Hoare (brother and -siß'er), who were rapturously encored. Too much could not be said for the excellent ac ! ing of Miss Deborah Hoare, or the elocution of Master P. Keane. We cannot, of course go through the whole programme, and it would be unfair to single out a few for special praise, although soma really deserved it. They all, without a single exception, spoke their parts with a surprisingly good effect, and it would bo unfair to single out a few for special praise when all did so well. The musical part of the programme showed a marked improvement on former years, some of the singing being so good that it would reflect credit on any concert, and the choruses were good, the voices of the children blending,, well together. On the whole the entertainment was the best ever held yet at; Kerrytown, and the Sist'.n of S f . Joseph, who train the children, deserve great praise for the decree of profiency to which they had . brought them. At the close Mr O'Driscoll moved a vole of thanks to the children for the entertainment, and to Mr Twomey for presiding, and a fulb'chorus entitled ‘ Christmas Boxes ’ brought the proceedings to a close.
