TEMUKA TOWN BOARD.
TO THE EDIT 08, Sie, —In report of meeting of Temuka Town Board in your issue of yesterday a clause occurs which quite hides the meaning intended to be conveyed. As the same (a copy, I presume) appears in another paper this morning I wish it to bo corrected. As reported “That the police should be acquainted with the names of ownars of unregistered dogs, and requested to enforce the law, the clerk to the Arowhenua Town Board to bo not fi jd previous to logal stops being taken.” Correction “ ‘ That overseer inform the police of any dogs, which he knows are still unregistered, requesting they will lake immediate steps to have the law enforced ’ ; ‘that as Arowhenua Town Board have not refunded fees received by their clerk for the registration of dogs (the owner of which resides in this town district) the clerk is instructed to’ communicate with the Arowhenua Town Board clerk prior to placing it in solicitor’s hands for recovery. I am, etc., Idw. Pile bow, Temuka Town Board Clerk, December Gib, 1839.
