At the Oamaru Show the show of draughts was splendid, Mr Holmes took the cup, and his horse Crown Prince was awarded the championship. Mr A. Balfour’s Nanny took the championship for mare or filly. Messrs Reid and Gray’s special prize for four horses was a feature of the show, bringing sixteen magnificent draughts into the ring. Ihe first prize went to Mr A. McAulay and the second to Mr Thos. Liken.
