George Hobbs, working at Glenquarry, near Hillside, Dunedin, was killed on Friday morning by a fall of broken rock. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was_ returned. Deceased was picking sand from stones in the quarry when about a ton of 3tone fell on him.
